on the winding roads

to spark another forgotten revolution

I am the overwhelming woman
you desire to abandon
I am the nurturing mother
you desire to run to
I am the raging fire
that burn in your forest

I am the pale ash
you smear your forehead with
While you resolve in your heart
to never land on my shore

I am the one you carry everywhere
for I am the abandoned
