Patriots' Day is a day remembering Manipur's war to protect its independence against the British.On this day, Manipuri people pay befitting tributes the martyrs like Bir Tikendrajit, General Thangal, Paona Brajabashi, Charai Thangal and other unknown Manipuri soldiers who laid down their lives for the sake of protecting the sovereignty and integrity of Manipur during the Anglo-Manipur war, 1891.
